Ryan Phillips wasn't out of work long, as the 12-year veteran signed a deal with the Montreal Alouettes just four days after being released by the BC Lions, the team announced Wednesday.
Phillips has spent his entire CFL career in the secondary for the Lions, registering 47 interceptions over 212 games and helping the team win the Grey Cup in 2006 and 2011.
The 34-year-old is a five-time CFL All-Star and will bolster an Alouettes defense that allowed the second-fewest points in the league last season.
