Ichiro passes Boggs for 27th on all-time hits list
Ichiro Suzuki has passed yet another Hall of Famer.
The Miami Marlins outfielder recorded the 3,010th and 3,011th hits of his major-league career Monday to pass Wade Boggs for 27th place on the all-time hits list.
Suzuki singled in the fourth inning off Rafael Montero to tie the former Boston Red Sox third baseman, and then surpassed Boggs in the eighth inning with a double off Addison Reed.

Suzuki's big night wasn't just limited to the batter's box. Following his fourth-inning single he boosted his Cooperstown credentials in yet another category by picking up his 10th stolen base of the season, giving him double-digit steals in each of his 16 major-league seasons. He's also just the fourth player ever to record a season of 10-plus steals at the age of 42, joining Omar Vizquel, Rickey Henderson, and Honus Wagner.
