The Cleveland Indians announced the team sold out the final home-game allotment of World Series tickets after a limited number went on sale for the general public at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Average resale prices for World Series tickets reached more than $2,400 within hours of the team clinching the American League pennant over the Toronto Blue Jays, according to cleveland.com's Joe Noga.

The Indians will take on the National League Champions, either the Los Angeles Dodgers or the Chicago Cubs, at home for Game 1 on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
