Here is a look at the Squad Up daily MLB fantasy picture for the three-game slate beginning at 9:40 p.m. ET on Friday, April 28:

Hitter Stacks

  • Philadelphia Phillies at Los Angeles Dodgers (RHP Kenta Maeda): Maeda served up four homers in his past start, bringing his total to seven allowed over 19 innings. His 13.2 percent soft-contact rate and 53.4 percent fly-ball percentage are the (frightening) underlying metrics leading to those bombs. The Phillies have tournament-winning upside in this lineup.

3-player stack: 2B Cesar Hernandez (44K), 3B Maikel Franco (45K), OF Odubel Herrera (46K)

  • Colorado Rockies at Arizona Diamondbacks (LHP Robbie Ray): Ray's command continues to be sporadic, as he owns an 11.41 K/9 but a 5.32 BB/9 through 23.2 innings. The Colorado-Arizona series could lead to some serious fireworks, though, with the Rockies and D-backs sitting sixth and second, respectively, in runs scored. The pitcher-friendly Chase Field is as close as you're going to get to Coors.

2-player stack: 3B Nolan Arenado (60K), OF Charlie Blackmon (54K)

Pitcher Breakdown

  • TARGET - RHP Jeff Samardzija (75K), Giants (vs. Padres): Samardzija's 7.40 ERA isn't much to look at, but his 2.86 xFIP and 11.10 K/9 indicate tremendous upside once he gets a few more starts under his belt. Look for that positive regression to get underway in a home matchup against San Diego's 23rd ranked offense. Samardzija notched a 3.53 ERA at home last season.
  • FADE - RHP Kenta Maeda (95K), Dodgers (vs. Phillies): Maeda's propensity to serve up homers has led to an ugly 8.05 ERA. Aside from his poor numbers, Maeda is also the most expensive pitcher on Friday's late slate. Philadelphia is 8-2 over the past 10 games, so a win isn't a lock, either.

Bargain Plays

  • 1B Mark Reynolds (41K), Rockies (at Diamondbacks): Reynolds continues to be underpriced, despite his early-season success and this favorable matchup. The 33-year-old owns a .320 average and 1.066 OPS over his past six games and should continue to mash in this potential shootout. Reynolds will bat in the heart of the order, further increasing his fantasy outlook.
  • SS Freddy Galvis (34K), Phillies (at Dodgers): Galvis is in the midst of a nine-game hit streak and has multi-hit efforts in back-to-back contests. After batting either seventh or eighth exclusively, Galvis hit second in Philadelphia's most recent game. That jump could pay massive dividends should the heart of Philadelphia's order get to Maeda.

Top Fades

  • 3B Eduardo Nunez (35K), Giants (vs. Padres): After hitting .389 through the first nine games of the year, Nunez has seen his average plummet to .241 as he's gone 6-for-47 stretch over his past 13 games. Nunez isn't much of a power hitter to begin with, and he is yet to register an extra-base hit at home this season.
  • OF Cody Bellinger (42K), Giants (vs. Phillies): Bellinger is 1-for-10 through his first three major league outings. It's not a terrible start considering he is just 21, but it's also not something that screams fantasy intrigue. Bellinger has batted eighth in two of those three starts, and the Dodgers have scored only 27 runs over their past seven.

Contrarian Plays

  • C Yasmani Grandal (52K), Dodgers (vs. Phillies): Grandal has gotten off to a poor start, hitting just .217 with three homers and six RBIs. But as a switch hitter that has excelled as a lefty against RHP, Grandal's matchup against RHP Jerad Eickhoff looks fantastic. Eickhoff has allowed lefties to SLG .493 and hit .265 in his career.
  • OF Aaron Altherr (39K), Phillies (at Dodgers): After hitting .202 in 57 games last year, Altherr has opened this season hitting .351. Prior to an 0-for-1 pinch-hit outing Thursday night, Altherr had a recorded a hit and a run in eight straight games. Assuming he draws back into the lineup Friday, he should draw into yours, as well.
