Mariners' Mitch Haniger: Out 3-to-4 weeks with oblique strain

Haniger is expected to miss at least 3-to-4 weeks with a Grade 2 right oblique strain, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.

Analysis:

It's a tough blow for the Mariners, who found out both Haniger and Felix Hernandez (shoulder) will be forced to miss multiple weeks Friday. Haniger was off to a nice start in his first season with the Mariners, working a triple slash of .338/.442/.600 through the first 21 games. With the 26-year-old sidelined, Ben Gamel should continue to see the bulk of right field duties.
