Marlins announce 2-year deal with Michael Morse

The Miami Marlins confirmed the signing of free-agent slugger Michael Morse in the most appropriate way possible: through Morse code.

Morse's deal is reportedly for two years and $16 million, plus incentives, although the club has yet to announce the financial terms of the agreement. Miami will introduce its newest acquisitions - Morse, Mat Latos and Dee Gordon - during a press conference Friday at Marlins Park.
