Report: Ex-UFC fighter Etim recovering at home after traffic incident

Jason Silva / USA TODAY

After reportedly throwing himself into traffic in his native Liverpool last month, former UFC lightweight Terry Etim has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home, according to Alan Weston from the Liverpool Echo.

The 31-year-old had intentionally collided with several moving vehicles, according to eyewitness accounts, before being restrained by police and taken to hospital to be treated for internal and facial injuries.

Police won't pursue any action over the incident, Weston reports.

Etim was released by the UFC in 2013 after going 6-5 in his six-year stint with the promotion. He last entered the cage in November 2013, when he took a unanimous decision over Patrick Cenoble at Bellator 109.
