Thomas dumbfounded by Cousins trade: NBA 2K wouldn't let that happen

USA Today Sports

Add Boston Celtics All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas to the growing list of players, media personalities, and basketball fans who can't wrap their minds around the recent trade between the Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans.

The Pelicans managed to steal - in the eyes of many - All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins from Sacramento in exchange for a package headlined by sixth overall draft pick Buddy Hield.

Feeling the trade was insanely lopsided, Thomas tweeted out Monday afternoon that the highly popular NBA 2K17 video game wouldn't even let players pull off such an unfair exchange, yet it somehow manifested in real life.

Actually, if you were to try and input the necessary pieces into the game for a potential deal, you'd be greeted with a message from the computer-controlled Kings general manager telling you that he's not "blown away" by the proposal.

Thomas, a former King himself, was sent away to the Phoenix Suns in 2014 for a trade exception and Alex Oriakhi.
