Report: Magic's Oladipo out 1 month after surgery

Brian Spurlock / USA Today Sports

The Orlando Magic are going to be without one of their prized youngsters for a while.

Victor Oladipo, last year's runner-up in Rookie of the Year voting, will reportedly miss a month of action following surgery to repair a facial fracture, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Oladipo sustained the injury when he took an elbow to the face in practice on Thursday, and was originally said to be out indefinitely.

The 22-year-old guard averaged 13.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.6 steals in his debut campaign with the Magic last season.

Evan Fournier, Ben Gordon and Willie Green will have to fill Oladipo's minutes at shooting guard in the meantime, although the Magic could feature lineups that include both rookie Elfrid Payton and fellow point guard Luke Ridnour.
