Kevin Love expects boos in Minnesota return

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

Kevin Love is set to make his highly-anticipated return to Minnesota on Saturday night when his Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Minnestota Timberwolves, but he isn't expecting much love from his former home crowd.

Love spent six seasons with the Timberwolves before being traded to Cleveland in a July trade that netted Minnesota Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and Thaddeus Young.

Earlier this week, the Timberwolves released a promotional video dubbed The Return for Saturday's game that featured a number of Cavs players, but not Love. The climax of the video insinuated the big return actually involves Mike Miller, who played one season for the T-Wolves, and not Love, who made three All-Star teams and left as the franchise's third all-time leading scorer.

"That’s hilarious," Love said of the video, as reported by the Akron Beach Journal's Jason Lloyd. "I thought it was really funny because Mike is one of those guys every day he wakes up it’s sunshine and blue skies," Love added.

"More often than not, I have a pretty dry sense of humor. That was pretty good."

Love, a potential free agent this summer, is averaging 17.1 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in his first season with the Cavs.
