Purdue star center Zach Edey was named the recipient of the 2024 Wooden Award, marking the second straight year the Boilermakers standout has been recognized as the best player in men's college basketball.

Edey is just the second player ever to earn the honor a second time, joining Virginia great Ralph Sampson, who also won back-to-back Wooden Awards in the early 1980s. He's the first senior recipient since Iowa's Luka Garza in 2021 - the only two non-underclassmen to win since Kansas' Frank Mason III in 2017.

The 7-foot-4 Canadian big man put up a career-high 25.2 points per game in 39 starts in his fourth and final year in college. He added 12.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game as the Boilermakers reached their first national final in 55 years; however, Purdue had to settle for runner-up, losing to top-seeded UConn in Monday's championship game.
