Charlotte quarterback Kevin Olsen, the brother of Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen, was arrested on rape charges, according to Mark Washburn of the Charlotte Observer.

The younger Olsen was charged Sunday afternoon with felony second-degree forcible rape, cyberstalking, assault on a female and second-degree forced sex.

Charlotte head coach Brad Lambert said Olsen had been suspended from the team.

"This incident occurred a week after a separate, unrelated case of alleged on-campus sexual assault involving acquaintances," the university said. "Olsen has been suspended from Charlotte athletics, and the University is reviewing the case consistent with its disciplinary procedures."

The quarterback's older brother did not have a comment on the charges.

"Greg has no comment, and asks that people respect his privacy," said Steven Drummond, director of communications for Carolina Panthers.

Kevin first began his career at Miami, before reported legal problems had him removed from the program. He then broke team rules while at Towson in Maryland, before enrolling at a junior college in California.

Kevin started the 49ers' game against Louisville last season, before being relegated to the bench in the team's next game.
