Florida will have a familiar face leading them in a bowl game.
D.J. Durkin, the Gators' current defensive coordinator, will serve as head coach for whichever bowl game Florida will play in, according to Scott Carter of the Florida Gators Athletics official website.
Outgoing head coach Will Muschamp announced he will step down at the end of the season. Muschamp has compiled an overall record of 28-20 with the team over four seasons.
Florida gained bowl eligibility with its 52-3 victory against Eastern Kentucky.
