Former Patriots center Stork stepping away from NFL

Former New England Patriots center Bryan Stork has stepped away from the NFL, but he won't call it retirement.

In a message posted on Twitter late Tuesday night, Stork announced he will be leaving football:

Stork didn't play in 2016. The Patriots tried to cut him in August, then decided to instead trade him to the Washington Redskins for a conditional seventh-round pick. Stork mulled not reporting to the Redskins, but eventually did - where he failed his physical.
