The Green Bay Packers have selected cornerback Kevin King out of Washington with the first pick in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

The lanky 6-foot-3 corner has drawn comparisons to Seattle Seahawks standout Richard Sherman, and should immediately help the league's second-worst pass defense from last season.

King was a lockdown cornerback during his four seasons at Washington, matching up with the opponent's top receiver in every game. His final season with the Huskies saw him register 44 tackles, two interceptions, and a whopping 13 passes defensed in 14 games.
