Report: Authorities file petition seeking protective order for Peterson's son

Authorities in Minnesota have reportedly filed a petition seeking a protective order for Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson's son.
The petition is asking a judge to block Peterson from using corporal punishment or physical discipline on the 4-year-old boy, according to the Associated Press.
The petition would also block any unauthorized or unsupervised contact with the child, per the report.
Peterson is facing a child abuse charge in Texas for allegedly using a switch to discipline his son in May.
