Redskins coach Jay Gruden confirms Colt McCoy will start vs. Cowboys

Amid speculation that Robert Griffin III could play against the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden named Colt McCoy the starter for Monday's game.

McCoy took over for the struggling Kirk Cousins on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans and was 11-of-12 passing for 128 yards, with a touchdown and no interceptions, leading the Redskins to a 19-17 victory.

Earlier Thursday, Gruden said he's confident Griffin will be able to return for Week 11.

Gruden also said that a decision on Griffin's availability won't be made until 7:30 p.m. ET on Monday.
