Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles is officially out for Saturday's game against the Washington Redskins, but was able to get in some practice time Wednesday.

Foles, who has been sidelined since Week 9 with a broken collarbone, participated in individual drills during the practice. Eagles head coach Chip Kelly didn't rule out the possibility of Foles returning this season.

"No," Kelly said Wednesday when asked if the team ever considered placing Foles on injured reserve, according to Matt Lombardo of NJ.com"Because we didn't know until yesterday where his status was. We were hoping we would get him back. It's never been a discussion with us."

Kelly told reporters earlier in the week that Foles will not be cleared to return to game action until he is able to take contact, which cannot happen until the bone has completely healed.
