The Denver Broncos hold a 13-7 lead over the Carolina Panthers after two quarters of play in Super Bowl 50.

Though Peyton Manning and the rest of the Broncos' offense continue having difficulty moving the chains, yet another strong effort from the top-ranked defense has limited the effectiveness of the league's MVP on the opposite side.

Cam Newton will enter the third quarter having completed just 8-of-19 passes for 95 yards and no touchdowns.

The Broncos' lone touchdown came on a play in which Newton took a strip-sack from Von Miller, coughing up the ball for Malik Jackson to recover in the end zone.

Brandon Marshall, Chris Harris Jr., and DeMarcus Ware also each added sacks of their own, giving the swarming Broncos' defense an impressive total of four at the half.
