Jakob Silfverberg spoiled a lionhearted effort from Ondrej Pavelec, scoring an outrageous game-winner with 21 seconds left to lift the Anaheim Ducks to a 2-0 lead in their first-round series with the Winnipeg Jets

It was a significant blow to Winnipeg, but just another game for the Ducks, who won their 20th game this season and second straight in playoffs when trailing at any point in the third period.

Star Performer: Pavelec was sensational. He made 37 saves, including 17 without conceding in the first, and kept the Jets in it into the dying seconds before Silfverberg shed Bryan Little and snapped a quick shot short side.

Turning Point: Penalties have been an issue for the Jets all season, and captain Andrew Ladd provided another untimely one. He tapped Getzlaf on the top of the head with a high stick while gliding through the neutral zone, leading to Patrick Maroon's equalizer.

Goalie Comparison: Frederik Andersen was equal to the task, turning aside 29 shots, with the Jets only goal coming when Lee Stempniak prevented the Ducks' goaltender from moving post-to-post.

Goalie Shots GA Saves SV%
Pavelec 39 2 37 0.949
Andersen 29 1 28 0.966

Top Highlight: Adam Pardy scored his first goal in more than four years, but celebrated like it had been a decade.

Stat of the Night: 34-17. Anaheim doubled the Jets' shot total in the first and third periods combined.
