Toronto Argonauts quarterback James Franklin will be placed on the six-game injured list with a hamstring ailment, TSN's David Naylor reports.
The Argos are expected to make the official announcement Wednesday, according to Naylor.
The 27-year-old passer suffered the injury last week against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He's completed 36 of 54 passes for 435 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions across two 2019 contests.
With Franklin sidelined, McLeod Bethel-Thompson will take over as Toronto's No. 1 quarterback. He'll start Saturday against the BC Lions, head coach Corey Chamblin announced Wednesday.
The Argos are 0-2 and their offense ranks last in the CFL after scoring just 19 points in two games.
