Quarterback Cody Fajardo was scratched for the Saskatchewan Roughriders' regular-season finale Saturday.
Rookie quarterback Isaac Harker got the start against the Edmonton Eskimos.
"Cody's not playing today. That oblique problem is going to force him to watch from the sidelines, so it's going to be in Isaac we trust," head coach Craig Dickenson told Michael Ball of 620 CKRM before the game.
Fajardo injured his back this week during practice.
The 12-5 Roughriders are first in the West Division and can clinch the division title with a win Saturday.
