Bournemouth completed their second deal with Liverpool on Friday with confirmation that defender Nathaniel Clyne has joined the Cherries on loan until the end of this season.

After having opportunities at right-back in Liverpool limited by the emergence of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Clyne's apparently enthused by the chance to feature in Bournemouth's first team.

"I'm really excited by this opportunity. It’s a great chance for me to come and play football," he said.

"I've spoken to the manager (Eddie Howe) and we've talked about what we can achieve for the remainder of the season. It’s a great club with a great story. I can't wait to get going."

Clyne, 27, has made 103 appearances for Liverpool since joining the Reds from Southampton in 2015.

Bournemouth also completed the signing of Dominic Solanke from Liverpool earlier Friday in a deal reportedly worth £19 million.
