Numerous English and Scottish clubs have reportedly spotted an opportunity to pluck Scott McTominay on loan from Manchester United, according to BBC Sport's Simon Stone.

The 22-year-old midfielder was a noted favorite of former Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho, winning the accolade of Manager's Player of the Year in May 2018 - an award inaugurated by Mourinho on the evening of United's end-of-season ceremony. However, since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took temporary charge from Mourinho, McTominay's started one FA Cup match and appeared in the final minute of Sunday's win at Tottenham Hotspur across six available outings.

Manchester United haven't determined whether they will sanction the 22-year-old's departure on a temporary deal. The decision could hinge on whether Marouane Fellaini stays at United or not. Fellaini signed a new two-year contract in June 2018, but he hasn't started for the club since a defeat at Manchester City in November. The Mirror's David McDonnell reports AC Milan, FC Porto, and Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande are potential destinations for the Belgian.

Solskjaer has played midfielders Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, and Paul Pogba together for four of his five league matches in charge. Expensive summer acquisition Fred also seems to be preferred to McTominay, with two starts and one substitute appearance since Solskjaer succeeded Mourinho.
