Brighton & Hove Albion's chances of reaching the FA Cup final for the second time have confronted a considerable obstacle.

Moments after defeating Millwall on penalties at The Den in the last of four cup quarterfinals, the Seagulls were drawn with trophy connoisseurs Manchester City, with Wolves and Watford set to contest the other Wembley tie.

Brighton won 5-4 on penalties after Millwall defender Jake Cooper launched The Lions' final spot-kick into the Bermondsey sky. Chris Hughton's charges left it late, with Jurgen Locadia's 88th-minute goal followed by Sully March's free-kick in the dying moments of added time, which saw Millwall 'keeper David Martin palm the ball into his own net.

It's just the second time Brighton have reached the semifinal of the FA Cup, replicating their progress in 1983 when they lost a finals replay to Manchester United, 4-0.

On Saturday, Wolves continued a fine run against England's "Big Six" in a 2-1 win over Manchester United courtesy of in-form Raul Jimenez's opener and a goal from Diogo Jota. They'll face Watford after the Hornets got the better of Crystal Palace thanks to super-sub Andre Gray's match-winner at Vicarage Road.

The outlier among the top-tier quartet is City, whose quadruple chase saw them score three goals in the final 20 minutes of Saturday's match at Swansea's Liberty Stadium.

The matches will take place the weekend of April. 6.
