Arsenal have submitted an improved £25-million proposal to sign Kieran Tierney from Celtic, reports Chris McLaughlin of BBC Sport.

It would mark Arsenal's second attempt to bring the left-back to north London following a reported £15-million bid in June.

This latest offer - which would be a record fee for Celtic - would satisfy the Scottish side's demands, according to David Gunn of The Scotsman.

Arsenal are confident in their ability to sign Tierney to a contract should an agreement be reached between the two clubs, BBC Sport's David Ornstein reported in June.

The Scotland international was limited to just 21 league appearances last term due to a hernia injury.
