Chelsea are preparing a stunning second offer of around €130 million for Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku, Sky Sport Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

Inter reportedly rejected Chelsea's initial bid - €100 million plus wing-back Marcos Alonso - on Monday.

Lukaku is open to joining Chelsea after being offered a long-term contract worth €12 million per season, according to Di Marzio.

Inter will reportedly allow the 28-year-old to leave if he pushes for a return to Chelsea.

Lukaku joined the west London side in 2011 but left in 2014 after a pair of loan spells at West Bromwich Albion and Everton.

If the deal is completed, Lukaku would become the most expensive signing in Premier League history and the first to reach nine figures.

The Belgian international previously indicated he would stay at Inter despite financial constraints and a change of manager. Antonio Conte - who recruited Lukaku in 2018 and led the Nerazzurri to their first Serie A title in 11 years last season - terminated his contract by mutual consent amid reports the club would have to sell players.
