Armando Broja has left Chelsea's preseason tour of the United States to discuss a potential transfer to West Ham United, according to BBC Sport's Simon Stone.

The two clubs have not yet agreed on a deal, but discussions are advanced enough for the Albanian forward to return to England.

West Ham tabled an improved bid of £30 million plus add-ons on Monday after initially offering £25 million for Broja, The Guardian's Jacob Steinberg reports. The Irons and the 20-year-old are apparently close to agreeing to personal terms.

Broja spent last season on loan at Southampton, where he scored nine goals in all competitions. If the two sides complete the deal, he would compete with Michail Antonio for the No. 9 role at David Moyes' West Ham.
