Newport County's Rodney Parade will host Pep Guardiola's Manchester City later this month after the League Two side beat Championship outfit Middlesbrough 2-0 in an FA Cup fourth-round replay on Tuesday.

Second-half goals from Robbie Willmott and Padraig Amond booked the Welsh club's first fifth-round berth since 1949.

After an injury-time equalizer from The Exiles at the Riverside earned a replay, the fourth-tier outfit fully deserved its victory on a rustic pitch against a hopelessly languid Boro.

Newport edged the balance of play in the first half but made the difference in the second. First, Willmott's long-range effort somehow deceived Dimi Konstantopoulos, before a training-ground corner routine ended with Amod smashing into the roof of the net to send the locals wild.

It was a stark contrast from Newport's league form - Mike Flynn's side lost 3-0 at home to Grimsby Town on Saturday and has only scored two home League Two goals since November.

However, Newport has beaten Premier League side Leicester City and now Boro at Rodney Parade in this season's FA Cup, taking the club one step further than its impressive run to the fourth round last season.

The fifth-round tie is slated for Feb. 16.
