5 standout performers from Saturday's slate of matches

Michy Batshuayi

Batshuayi's listless performance in Chelsea's shock 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace last weekend apparently encouraged Antonio Conte to flick through his contacts for someone to take the Belgian off his hands.

The Italian manager might have to think again.

Batshuayi was playing for little over half an hour against Watford, and in that time turned a 2-1 loss into a 4-2 win.

His 71st-minute tally was impressive as he met Pedro's cross with a superb leap and glancing header, but his second was arguably better. The build-up was scruffy - Miguel Britos was far too nonchalant when he conceded possession - but Batshuayi showed incredible strength to keep Christian Kabasele at bay before poking the ball over Heurelho Gomes.

The beginning of Iborra's career in England was hampered by injury, but the Spaniard put in a cultured display for Leicester City's 2-1 win in Swansea.

He effortlessly controlled proceedings from the middle of the park, putting in an all-action performance that could even make his tireless colleague Wilfred Ndidi appear work-shy. He walloped seven clearances, no one on the pitch bettered his four tackles, and only Swansea City's Kyle Naughton and Tom Carroll had more touches of the ball.

Did Leicester sign an upgrade for Danny Drinkwater before he was granted a deadline-day sale to Chelsea?

Aaron Mooy

"Simply sensational," gushed Blake Welton of The Huddersfield Daily Examiner.

Mooy was inadvertently the creator of his and Huddersfield Town's opener against Manchester United, gobbling up a loose touch from Juan Mata to stride through the middle and then slide a pass for Tom Ince. When Ince's effort was deflected by David De Gea into Mooy's path, the Australian made no mistake.

Mooy covers a remarkable amount of ground, out-tackled and produced more interceptions than centre-half Mathias Jorgensen, and is the go-to man when one of his colleagues is in possession.

John Stones

Despite being weighted down by sideways Manchester rain against Burnley, Stones played with the leisurely poise of Leonardo Bonucci gatecrashing a game of football on sun-kissed Tibidabo beach.

Leroy Sane and Stones' defensive partner Nicolas Otamendi both earned plaudits - no doubt helped by their goals - but the Barnsley product stood above the rest with his ease in possession and refusal to get drawn into a grapple with hefty hitmen Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes.

It was another match where Stones' contributions fell under the radar. He was also extraordinary in Tuesday's meeting with Napoli, conducting the play from defence and putting perfect weight on his passes.

Sofiane Boufal

Just for that goal.

Boufal was introduced after 81 minutes of West Bromwich Albion's visit, and quickly scored what is undoubtedly the goal of the season so far.

His run began on the edge of Southampton's defensive third and was concluded by an accurate far-post finish past Ben Foster. His dribbling was reminiscent of Georgi Kinkladze, except with extra zip in his boots. Perhaps the most pleasing part was how his bewildering footwork caused a dizzied Allan Nyom to flatten teammate Craig Dawson. The unfortunate result of that collision was Dawson having to leave West Brom with 10 men after departing with an injury.

Sorry, Mario Lemina, Maya Yoshida, and Baggies brute Ahmed Hegazi. Your solid performances were soon forgotten after 10 seconds of running from Boufal.
