Allegri won't take a job until summer, is learning English

In-demand manager Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that he will not take a job until the summer, silencing reports that the Italian tactician was eligible for one of a slew of high-profile appointments.

Allegri remains under contract with Juventus until June, and according to ESPN FC's James Horncastle, the 52-year-old will not take a job until those terms lapse.

"In June. I don't know if you can call it a sabbatical or not," Allegri said when asked when he would return to work.

With several big jobs likely to become available in the summer, Allegri's name is frequently mentioned. Manchester United, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich have all been associated with the six-time Scudetto winner. Allegri said he's studying English, which could help him nab either of those Premier League openings.

"I am taking lessons here in Milan. I manage to speak quite well. I find the listening part a bit more difficult," Allegri said.

Both Arsenal and Bayern Munich currently employ interim managers (Freddie Ljungberg and Hansi Flick, respectively), and United are reportedly considering the former Milan and Juventus boss as a successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

"Next year will be an important year. Important for the choice I end up making and the need to be prepared for it," Allegri said. "After a year out and five years at Juventus, I don't want to go back into the game and do badly. That would do my head in."
