Luis Suarez to undergo knee surgery
Barcelona forward Luis Suarez will undergo arthroscopic surgery after suffering a medial meniscus injury in his right knee, the club announced Thursday.
His recovery time will be determined following the operation.
It's unclear when the Uruguayan suffered the injury, as he managed to play the entire match Tuesday when Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League by Liverpool at Anfield.
Along with his expected absence from Barcelona's last match of the season Sunday against Getafe, Suarez's participation in the Copa del Rey final against Valencia on May 25 may be in doubt.
Suarez could also be in danger of missing the Copa America this summer.
Assuming his season is done, the 32-year-old ends his fifth campaign at Barcelona with 25 goals in all competitions.
