Dutch giant PSV Einhoven announced Wednesday that the club will host LIGA MX side Pachuca on Oct. 9 at the Philips Stadion with proceeds from ticket sales going to victims of the central Mexico earthquake.

A statement on PSV's website confirmed the date, adding that Pachuca will be in the Netherlands to train ahead of its participation in the 2017 FIFA Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

PSV took the pitch Sunday against Utrecht sporting shirts that read "Fuerza Mexico" in support of the victims of the 7.1 magnitude earthquake.

PSV has long been a landing spot for Mexican players looking to carve a niche in Europe's top leagues, with Carlos Salcido, Maza, Andres Guardado, and Hector Moreno among those to ply their trade with the 23-time Eredivisie champ.

Star winger Hirving "Chucky" Lozano moved from Pachuca to PSV in the summer, and will be part of the Dutch side's squad for the match.

The recent natural disaster resulted in more than 300 deaths on the 32nd anniversary of the 1985 Mexico City earthquake that killed approximately 10,000 people.
