3 promising teenagers ready to become stars

You know all about the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Gianluigi Donnarumma, and Marcus Rashford, but while those three lead the pack of exciting young teenagers playing starring roles, there are countless other peers who are set to light up the football world for the foreseeable future. Here are three teenagers who you will be hearing all about in the years to come.

Kasper Dolberg

  • Age: 19
  • Club: Ajax
  • Nationality: Danish

The crown jewel of Ajax's latest crop of incredible young talent, Danish striker Kasper Dolberg has been finding the net with stunning regularity throughout the season, both in the Eredivisie and the Europa League. Physically imposing, powerful, and deadly inside the area with both his feet and his head, the 19-year-old will have a chance to properly announce himself to the world - or, at least, those who have been shunning Europe's second-tier tournament - when Ajax meets Manchester United in this week's final. Find the net against the Red Devils, and he'll be the toast of the town - and, most likely, the subject of a hefty transfer bid.

Vinicius Junior

  • Age: 16
  • Club: Flamengo (reportedly set to join Real Madrid)
  • Nationality: Brazilian

If Real Madrid is willing to pay €45 million for your services before you've even played a professional match, people are going to take notice. Vinicius Junior, the 16-year-old Brazilian attacker being dubbed the "new Neymar" in many circles, looks slated to join Los Blancos imminently.

Terms of the gargantuan deal are reportedly finalised, and will likely see the teenager, who played his first professional match for Flamengo last week, remain with the Brazilian club for the next couple of seasons before heading over to the Spanish capital. If he delivers on the hype, especially early, he could launch himself into superstardom.

Christian Pulisic

  • Age: 18
  • Club: Borussia Dortmund
  • Nationality: American

There's a very real argument to be made that Christian Pulisic is the best American player on the planet right now, despite not legally being able to buy a beer in the United States. An electric option off the bench for Borussia Dortmund, the versatile attacker, who combines quickness with dazzling dribbling ability, certainly looks ready to make the step from exciting upstart to legitimate world-beater (for both club and country).
