Diego Costa is set to remain with the Spain camp for an upcoming friendly against France, after medical scans revealed the Chelsea attacker suffered only a minor injury to his foot and ankle.

The Spanish federation posted an update on Costa's injury concern on its official website Sunday, announcing that while he did suffer an injury, he was "given the OK" from doctors and will be under observation while remaining with the team for training camp.

While the 28-year-old did find the back of the net in Friday's 4-1 win over Israel, he'll be hoping to survive Tuesday's match unscathed to return to Chelsea in time for an April 1 tilt against Crystal Palace.

Four days later, Chelsea has a date with Manchester City.

Blues boss Antonio Conte will want his star striker, who has bagged 22 goals in 35 games this season, to remain fit for the clash.
