Cristiano Ronaldo will have to wait at least another week for his first goal in a Juventus shirt.

The €100-million summer signing was left frustrated on Saturday against Chievo, seeing a collection of opportunities turned aside, and it appeared his inability to find the net would see the Bianconeri held to a surprising draw to open the campaign.

But the Old Lady was able to pick up the three points in dramatic fashion, getting a 93rd-minute goal from Federico Bernardeschi to eke out a 3-2 victory at the Stadio Bentegodi in Verona.

After a quick start - Sami Khedira put the reigning Italian champions ahead in the third minute - the home side flipped the script, equalizing before the interval, and then getting a penalty from Emanuele Giaccherini to take a shock lead in the 56th minute.

But Massimiliano Allegri's side, in classic Juve fashion, battled until the end.

An own goal from Mattia Bani leveled proceedings at two apiece before the substitute Bernardeschi redirected a cross from Alex Sandro deep into stoppage time to give the Bianconeri a slim win.
