Longtime New York Yankees catcher Jorge Posada returned to the Bronx Sunday to take part in his first Old-Timers' Game. While it may seem a slight misnomer (Posada is only 45), Old-Timers' Day at Yankee Stadium is a longstanding tradition.

This year marks the 71st edition of the festivities featuring Yankees alumni from across decades. Joining Posada were some of his former teammates like David Cone, Tino Martinez, Jeff Nelson, and Paul O'Neill, who exited the exhibition game after legging out a single, complaining of a sore calf.

Tim Raines was all smiles. The recent Hall of Fame inductee played parts of three seasons with the Yankees from 1996 through 1998.

Willie Randolph didn't get all of that one. Randolph played 13 seasons in Yankee pinstripes and joined the team as a bench coach for 11 seasons before joining the crosstown Mets as their manager in 2005.

Pitcher Ron Guidry spent the entire 14 seasons of his MLB career with the Yankees from 1975 to 1988. He won a Cy Young award in 1978 when he went 25-3 with a 1.74 ERA.

Granted, there were some notable absentees like Derek Jeter, but there were plenty who joined the fray. The team posted a series of other images on its Twitter page.
