Former pitcher Roy Halladay executed sharp turns in his small plane prior to the crash that took his life, aviation investigators say, according to Terry Spencer from The Associated Press.

The plane's data recorder, as well as witnesses, revealed to investigators Halladay flew his aircraft as low as 11 feet above the water on Nov. 7. One witness said the plane reached approximately 300 to 500 feet in the air before colliding with the water in a 45-degree dive.

The investigation is ongoing.

Family, friends, and former teammates paid homage to Halladay in a celebration of his life on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Spectrum Field in Clearwater, Fla.
