The Los Angeles Dodgers-San Francisco Giants rivalry is alive and well.
Tensions boiled over during a 1-0 game Tuesday after Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig appeared to take exception to something Giants catcher Nick Hundley said. Puig fouled a ball off and slammed his hand against his bat during the seventh inning; Hundley appeared to say something to Puig, and the two came face to face at the plate. Puig pushed and then punched at Hundley's chest protector resulting in the benches clearing.

Puig came at Hundley during the scrum and threw a punch that caught Hundley in his catching mask. Both players ended up being ejected.
The Dodgers and Giants entered the game separated by just four games in the standings.
