The Milwaukee Brewers entered Wednesday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals knowing they were headed to the playoffs with a win, and aided by an untimely fall by Adolis Garcia, they got the job done.
With the Cardinals trailing 2-1 in the eighth inning, Garcia attempted to score all the way from first on a throwing error by Milwaukee. Unfortunately for Cardinals fans, the speedster took a tumble on his way from third to home and was easily tagged out, ending the rally for the home team.
Milwaukee is now safely in the postseason for the first time since 2011 while the Cardinals face an uphill battle to qualify for the playoffs.
