No team in MLB history has hit more home runs in a season than the 2018 New York Yankees.

Gleyber Torres' home run against the Boston Red Sox on Saturday was the Bronx Bombers' 265th this season, vaulting the team past the 1997 Seattle Mariners for top spot in the history books.

Torres' 24th blast of the season also means the Yankees have hit 20 or more home runs from every spot in the batting order this season, according to ESPN's Coley Harvey.
