The Atlanta Braves are continuing to monitor the market for free-agent left-hander Dallas Keuchel, as well as other starters, according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network.

That said, the Braves are reportedly hesitant to part with the required draft pick to sign Keuchel, who rejected a $17.9-million qualifying offer from the Houston Astros at the beginning of the winter.

The Scott Boras client is continuing to work out in order to stay in game shape, facing hitters and throwing 80 pitches at his agent's complex in Newport Beach, Calif.

This news comes two weeks after Atlanta found out that Mike Foltynewicz, originally expected to be the club's Opening Day starter, would not be ready for the start of the season.

Keuchel, 31, reached the 200-inning plateau last season for the first time since his 2015 Cy Young campaign. Over 204 2/3 innings last year, he authored a 3.74 ERA and 3.69 FIP and won his fourth Gold Glove. The Astros, his former team, have reportedly made their former ace one- and two-year offers.

While Morosi doesn't name any of the other starters the Braves may be interested in, Gio Gonzalez, Bartolo Colon, Edwin Jackson, and Yovani Gallardo all remain free agents, none of whom are attached to draft-pick compensation.
