The New York Yankees are wearing out the injured list.

Following the club's 6-5 comeback win against the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday, Yankees manager Aaron Boone announced Clint Frazier would be the latest player to land on the 10-day IL after being diagnosed with a partial tear in his left ankle.

"They feel like it's a 10-14 day thing, maybe a little less, but we don't feel like it's a long thing," Boone told reporters, per the YES Network. "Frazier feels like he could play or is close to playing, but the MRI revealed enough in there ... that it's going to cost him the 10 days."

Frazier injured himself late in Monday's game during a pickoff attempt at second base. He was held out of the lineup Tuesday before being sent for an MRI.

The news comes as another blow to a Yankees team that has battled through a season's worth of injuries in the first month. Frazier marks the 15th player to land on the IL for the club this season and will be the 13th currently residing on either the 10-day or 60-day IL.

Frazier had been the benefactor of injuries to a number of other outfielders and excelled with additional playing time. The 24-year-old is hitting .324/.342/632 with six home runs and 17 RBIs in 18 games.

Despite the injuries, the Yankees won their sixth straight game Wednesday and sit just 1 1/2 games back of the division-leading Tampa Bay Rays.
