The San Francisco Giants made the call to move left-hander Derek Holland from the starting rotation to the bullpen on Saturday.

Recently recalled Tyler Beede will take his place among the starters and will get the ball Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays, according to Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com.

Holland doesn't agree with or like the decision, but he's resigned to accept it.

"To be honest, I have no idea what they're doing," Holland said, per Guardado. "And I don't mean that by (Bruce Bochy) and them, it's more for the front office. We keep changing things. I get a fake injury, so I'm not happy about that. But at the end of the day, I'm going to do whatever they ask me to do."

Holland recently spent time on the injured list for an apparent bone bruise in his left index finger, though he appears to be suggesting he wasn't actually hurt.

In his first start after being reinstated, he was hammered by the Colorado Rockies for seven runs on seven hits, including three home runs, over 2 2/3 innings on Thursday. He was rocked for six runs on six hits over five innings in his prior start before the IL stint. Altogether, the veteran southpaw is 1-4 with a 6.75 ERA over seven starts this season.

The 11-year veteran split time between the rotation and bullpen last season as well, going 7-9 with a 3.57 ERA in 36 appearances (30 starts).

Beede, Holland's replacement, has allowed nine earned runs in 4 1/3 innings (18.69 ERA) in the majors this season. He was excelling at Triple-A, however, posting a 1.99 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 13.50 K/9 over 22 2/3 innings.
