Seattle Mariners right-hander Felix Hernandez will miss four-to-six weeks with a Grade 1 lat strain, manager Scott Servais announced Tuesday, according to Scott Hanson of The Seattle Times.

"It's not quite as severe as what Hunter Strickland had, but it's disappointing for him," Servais said ahead of his team's game against the Oakland Athletics. Strickland recently began playing catch again after suffering a Grade 2 lat strain in late March. He was expected to miss "a couple months."

The Mariners put the 33-year-old Hernandez on the 10-day injured list Sunday after he was shelled by the Boston Red Sox on Saturday. Hernadez allowed seven earned runs in 2 1/3 innings during that contest and now owns a 6.52 ERA in 2019.

A six-time All-Star, Hernandez has a 3.38 career ERA over 15 seasons with Seattle.

The Mariners (21-23) started the season 13-2 but have gone 8-21 since their hot start.
