Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Andrew McCutchen suffered a sprained left knee after falling awkwardly while running the bases during the first inning of Monday's game.

McCutchen laid on the ground grabbing his knee before he was helped off the field.

Phillies manager Gabe Kapler said that McCutchen will undergo an MRI on Tuesday, though the team isn't yet sure if he'll be placed on the 10-day injured list, according to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com.

McCutchen has enjoyed a strong season, hitting .256/.375/.457 with 10 home runs, 12 doubles, and 29 RBIs in 58 games entering Monday.
