Hyun-Jin Ryu named NL starter for All-Star Game
Hyun-Jin Ryu was named to his first All-Star Game on Sunday and it looks like he'll be given the honor of starting the 2019 Midsummer Classic, too.
Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, who will manage the National League squad, said the 32-year-old left-hander will begin the game on July 9 at Progressive Field, according to Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times.
Ryu owns the lowest ERA (1.83) in the majors and has allowed two earned runs or less in 15 of his 16 starts this season.
