New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone believes a three-to-four week recovery timeline might be "reasonable" before injured slugger Giancarlo Stanton returns to action, according to Lindsey Adler of The Athletic.

Boone also cautioned that Stanton is still in the "early days" of recovering from a Grade 1 hamstring strain.

Stanton was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday after he was hurt during the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Tampa Bay Rays.

The 30-year-old is hitting .293/.453/.585 with three homers over 14 games in 2020. The 2017 NL MVP only played in 18 games last season due to multiple injuries.
