Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts officially tabbed Clayton Kershaw to start Game 4 of the National League Championship Series following Wednesday's thumping of the Atlanta Braves.

Kershaw was originally scheduled for Game 2 but was scratched with back spasms and replaced by Tony Gonsolin, who was hit with the loss. The three-time Cy Young winner was unavailable to start Game 3 as well, which went to fellow left-hander Julio Urias.

The Braves hold a 2-1 series lead with Los Angeles winning their first game of the series in historic fashion.

Kershaw, 32, has thrown 172 1/3 innings in the postseason, posting a 4.23 ERA while making 27 starts and seven relief appearances.

The eight-time All-Star has looked particularly dominant this postseason, though, authoring a 1.93 ERA over 14 innings. Over two starts - both wins - Kershaw has allowed three runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out 19.
