Twins-Red Sox play Tuesday after shooting of Daunte Wright
The Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox will play Tuesday at Target Field after Monday's game was postponed in response to the fatal shooting of Daunte Wright by police Sunday in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
"Following consultation with Major League Baseball, along with local and state officials, including law enforcement agencies, the Minnesota Twins have announced today's game against the Boston Red Sox will be played as scheduled," the team announced.
Tuesday's game will begin at 2:10 p.m. ET. J.A. Happ will start for the Twins opposite Martin Perez for the Red Sox.
The two teams will play a straight doubleheader Wednesday to make up for Monday's postponement.
Minnesota's NBA and NHL teams also postponed their Monday games in response to Wright's killing.
